Saskatoon Berries Hit the S. Korean Market

Canada's saskatoon berries recorded a new milestone in 2014.

The age-old superfruit native to N. America officially hit the South Korean market for consumer access.
This marks the first time in Canadian history for the saskatoon berry to be exported to South Korea for formal distribution.
South Korea is also the saskatoon berry's first full-fledged export market in Asia.

The saskatoon berry has gripped the interest of S. Korea's gourmet and specialty foods, dessert, and health-foods sectors.

Such bilateral trade development comes in time with the Canada-S.Korea free-trade agreement to take effect on January 1, 2015.
